  • Old Drake Hill Flower Bridge: Do you love to garden, or just want to help continue make this historic landmark a tourist destination? The Flower Bridge needs volunteers in varying areas: one time help of emptying the boxes of dirt, one time refilling with new dirt, weekly dead- heading of plants, once a month weeding. Contact: Susan Demuth
  • Simsbury ABC House: The Simsbury A Better Chance Program (ABC) is a non-profit residential college preparatory program making a difference in the lives of academically talented young men of color from underserved communities. Since 1973, the program has offered motivated, minority youth the opportunity to achieve their potential by attending and graduating from Simsbury High School and going on to attend a college of their choice. By joining our Board you will contribute to the ABC mission by serving on one or more sub-committees, attend student events, positively promote the program in the community, attend and contribute to our monthly board meetings and recruit other board members and volunteers. You will also get to know the students by providing oversight of the students in the ABC residence from time to time. We are asking for at least a one year commitment. Interested?  Email: abcprogsims@gmail.com

  • Simsbury Performing Arts Center: Volunteering at Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center is a great way to get involved and help your local community! It takes many hands to put on an event at SMPAC, and because we are a non-profit organization, we rely on our volunteers throughout the season. From set up, tear down, and beverage service, to directing cars and taking tickets, our volunteers play an integral role in SMPAC’s success. Plus, you'll get to see some amazing entertainment!
