Celebrate summer at the Simsbury Newcomers Club Ice Cream Social on Sunday 8/22 from 2-4 pm. The event is free, and is open to club members, prospective members and families from Simsbury and the surrounding Farmington Valley area.

The Simsbury Newcomers Club will supply the ice cream… you simply bring a tasty topping to create your favorite sundae. Visit with friends, meet new people, and enjoy delicious ice cream from Simsbury’s own Tulmeadow Farms. The ice cream social will be held at the Educational Playcare Center at 1 St. John’s Place in Simsbury, rain or shine! This class is Part 2 of Facebook for Business. In this class, Victoria Freeman of Freeman Social Media Marketing (facebook.com/FreemanSocMediaworkshop) will discuss further editing the page, what to post on the page and how to build your fan base. You’ll also learn what to do and what not to do on your page and how to get the most out of social networking. You should have attended Facebook for Business (Part 1) or have an existing Facebook page for your business.

You’ll also learn about some powerful library resources you can use to identify potential employers and target companies. Space is limited to 20 seats; you must pre-register for this class.

Victoria Freeman of Freeman Social Media Marketing (facebook.com/FreemanSocMediaworkshop) will teach you how to set up your business page and edit the information on the page. This is a hands on class. You do not need to have prior Facebook experience. You should leave class with a business page set up. Space is limited to 20 seats; you must pre-register for this class.
