Come and enjoy the Simsbury Union of Slam Poets’ public poetry slam! Slam Poetry is poetry that you understand after only one reading. It incorporates movement, singing, rhythm, and emotion into a poem. Both teen poets and adults are encouraged to attend. This special public poetry slam will be held in the Program Room. For those teens currently in grades 9-12 or aged 14-19 interested in joining the Simsbury Union of Slam Poets, drop-in meetings are held every Tuesday from 6-7:00 in the upper level of the Library.
