Simsbury Public Library

Simsbury, CT 06070

Join us in the Simsbury Public Library Program Room Mondays July 31 through August 21 for a series of programs centered around the theme of ‘adulting’ or ‘what you need to know before you leave home.’

Attend this program to discover the importance of career exploration in college planning. Topics will include career assessments, exploring occupations and corresponding college majors as well as wage and employment outlook. Presented by Lynne Bossart, Muse College Consulting LLC.

The Adulting 101 series is a result of research conducted by Simsbury High School rising senior Abbey Mundt for her Girl Scout Gold Award Project. Abbey collected her data through an online survey of high school and college students and parents. Workshops will include Q & A and include: Banking, Financial Literacy & Investments (7/31); Job Search & Preparation (8/7); Career & College Exploration (8/14); and Health & Safety (8/21).

Attendance at all workshops is recommended but not required. Registration is requested at www.simsburylibrary.info or 860-658-7663.
