Job Search Burnout & How to Reduce it

The Simsbury Public Library will offer a free workshop for job seekers on Thursday, November 12th at 2 pm. Steven Lurie, PhD, Author and President of Lurie Executive Development will discuss how to manage the long-haul job search.
During this interactive workshop you’ll discover your ‘Connecting Style’ (Driver-Director, Energizer-team-builder, Analytical-Critical Thinker, Supportive-Team Player) and will learn how to apply those insights to:
* Adjust your strategy (approach to networking and interviewing) to
maximize your strengths and minimize your weaknesses
* Enhance your ability to reach, influence and impact
* Deal with the ups and downs
* Keep yourself in the game
* Stay positive
* Get out of your comfort zone and take some risks
* Manage job-search search related family pressures

Steven Lurie is a licensed psychologist with over eighteen years of Organizational consulting experience. The founder of LED, he has successfully consulted to hundreds of executives and organizations from Fortune 50 to family-owned businesses. Dr. Lurie is a full member of the American Psychological Association, Nassau County Psychological Association, Metropolitan Association for Applied Psychology, and American Society for Training and Development.
